Members of the Craft Centre on Myall Street, Tea Gardens work tirelessly to keep the centre running all year long. Maryanne Durrant, Events Co-ordinator, said “This annual event gives us the opportunity to get out the fine china, dress up and enjoy one another’s company”. “Guests were welcomed with a glass of champagne or punch, cheese and fruit platters, before being seated at tables laden with a beautiful afternoon tea.” The High Tea has become an annual tradition with Maryanne and her small group of helpers preparing all the delicious food as well as setting up the Centre for the occasion. “It was a wonderful effort, the ladies did a great job and I am sure all our invited guests enjoyed the afternoon and appreciated our efforts,” Maryanne said. The Myall Community Arts and Craft Centre always welcomes new members. Volunteers are always needed as well to keep the centre’s shop open seven days a week.
