Double Doses of Tablets

The NSW Poisons Information Centre has recently heard from a number of anxious callers wondering if they have made a medication error.

The most frequent calls include those of people wondering if they have taken medication twice.

To reduce the risks of these types of situations, NSW Poisons is issuing the following advice: try to follow a daily routine when taking medications (take them with your breakfast or after brushing your teeth), mark off doses on a calendar or use a phone app, use a dosette box or Webster pack, try to avoid taking medications when you are distracted or choose medications brands which have the days marked on the blister strip or box.

2. The Hawks Nest accident resulted in loss of power across the area.
