FRIDAY 23 September, saw students graduate from Year 12 at Salamander Bay’s St Philip’s Christian College.
It was a memorable morning which saw the Chris Walking Theatre packed to capacity.
A special mention of gratitude was made by Vice School Captain, Callum Sinclair for the indelible mark that Founding School Principal, Mr Chris Walking had left on the students over their years at St Phillips.
Mr Walking passed away suddenly just over 4 years ago and left behind a huge legacy in the lives of many in our community.

The day included many awards being presented, new school captains being sworn in, as well as the opening of a time warp capsule by students who were in the Kindergarten classes of 2004.
After many tears, morning tea and a last photo session together the students went home to prepare for a night of festivities.
Students and their parents were invited to Broughtons At The Bay, overlooking the beautiful d’Albora Marina Nelson Bay, for the Yr12 formal.
It was a grand affair with teachers, students and their parents all looking very glamorous.
The scene looked more like a Miss World pageant as the sound of cameras snapping, could be heard on the boardwalk.
Amanda Douglass Catering provided a perfect three course meal which added to the plush event.
The night included speeches, video presentations, thank you’s and lots of reminiscing as the students, teachers and parents danced on into the night.
“From little things big things grow,” one of Chris Walklings mantras for the students, really summed up the journey of the Year 12 Students.
It was a great way to finish the year and the students now prepare for the final leg of their School education, the HSC in October.
