12 months on the air for Myall Coast radio

IT IS now over 12 months since Myall Coast Radio had their very first broadcast in October 2020.

The local station now features thirteen presenters, with a further nine waiting to be trained.

The station broadcasts two services for the community; Myall Coast Radio 87.80Mhz, broadcasting on home and car radios; and Myall Coast Radio Streaming, which has a full broadcast community radio program format and caters for a broader listener base.

The streaming service features local interviews and highly successful weekly reading of News Of The Area, local business interviews, as well as live programs such as ‘Dusty Diamonds’, ‘Breakfast with Greg’ and ‘Postie Playlist’.

“The best way to listen to Myall Coast Radio Streaming is from on our website www.mycallcoastradio.com.au,” said Myall Coast Radio President Chris Lock.

“Our survey for the last three months has Myall Coast Streaming reaching right around the globe with listener sessions amounting to more than 6500, with an average 26 mins per session.

“More than 60% Australian audiences, followed by the United Kingdom and Ireland, Germany, USA, and New Zealand.

“We are always looking to the community for new members and volunteers.”
