Last week 250 players from all over New South Wales and Queensland flocked to town for the annual Hawks Nest Summer Golf Classic.

“It’s one of the top visitor tournaments in New South Wales,” Club Captain Les Miller said.

The event is run over five days from Sunday through to Friday.

“Visitors praised the Hawks Nest Course conditions, saying it is one of the best along the Eastern seaboard,” said Les.

At the end of the 54 hole tournament, Peter Martin from the Gosford Golf Club took our the Men’s Cup.

Victory in the Ladies, went to Dianne Doering from Bayview in Sydney
