WITH the heat forecast on Saturday there were a lot of early starters.
The event was a two player Aggregate Stableford where the scores were added together.
Winners were the team of Murray Smith and Matt Smith ( no relation ) who clicked to have a net score of 86 – a combined 14 under par.
Peter Urquhart and John Dowzard, although playing well, came in runners up a long way back.
Straight shooters with nearest the pins were Allan Clarke (A), Neil Cunneen (B) and James Garley (C grade).
Desma Hughes said the ladies had a day off blaming heat, Christmas preparations and course renovations.
Jim Wilkes took the money in the Mid Week Competition with Graham Everett continuing his consistent form to come in runner up.
