The Probus Club of Port Stephens has packed a lot into the last few weeks.
Perfect weather enhanced their recent barbecue which was enjoyed by members and a few visiting kookaburras who popped in to taste some of the culinary delights.
The following morning, 49 ‘Probies’ set off for a week of fun and fellowship in caravans and cabins at Halliday’s Point.
Leaders Kerrie and John had an action-packed program with walks, bowls, boule, horse races of the human kind, trivia and putt putt.

The program also included great lunches and dinners out, a cruise, trip to an orchid farm and the traditional “Big Aussie Breakfast” the last morning to round off a wonderful week.
This yearly trek is enjoyed by all attending for the fun, fellowship and friendship element which is the Probus motto.
A Melbourne Cup function was held at the Nelson Bay Bowling Club where most of the members lost their shirts.
A very elegant Trish Monaghan won the Best Dressed Lady.
The following day a group set off for Lemon Tree Passage where they enjoyed a walk along the foreshore bush track and boardwalk.
“It was a special place to explore on a cool sunny day with one koala lifting his sleepy head to say hello,” Anne Gibson, Secretary, told Bay News Of The Area.
“We had a fabulous lunch at Lemon Tree Passage Bowling Club to finish the day on a high,” Ms Gibson said.
A coach trip is planned to see David Campbell in Dream Lover in the near future .
Probus organises walks and mixed bowls on a regular basis.
