One hundred families received Christmas hampers this week, the contents of which will contribute to their Christmas dinner tables.
The hampers were handed out through various charities including the Gan Gan Centre Anna Bay, Yacaaba Centre Nelson Bay and the Op Shop Nelson Bay.

All of the items were kindly donated by the parishioners of All Saints Anglican Church, Nelson Bay.
Christmas Eve will see a fun, family night at the church with a Fancy Dress Night beginning at 6pm.
The theme will be “A Christmas Nativity Birthday Party” and mums, dads and children are invited to come dressed up as your favourite Character and join in the fun.
Christmas Cake and punch will be provided on the night.
You don’t have to be a member of the church to attend and last year the night saw 180 people take part.
Some more exciting news is if you are homeless, alone or without family or friends, you are invited to a FREE Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day.
“Christmas should be a time for family and we would like to be family to those who don’t have any around them this year,”
Kesh Govan, Minister of All Saints Church, told Bay News Of The Area.
Port Stephens 100.9 FM have kindly donated $555 towards the Christmas lunch allowing Christmas to be brighter for many people who had expected to spend the day alone.
It is important to contact the church in regards to Christmas lunch for catering purposes.
Please call the church office for bookings on 4981 1839.
