Families, foodies and fans of good beer will gather at Murray’s Brewery in Port Stephens on New Year’s Day as an Indie chart topper gives a free concert and two brand new exotic beers are released.
The free-entry ‘New Year’s Day Chillout’ event will run from 10am to 6pm and include the launch of a blue-tinged Blueberry Beer and a blood orange IPA.

“If you think mixing beer and fruit is for wimps, then think again!” brewery owner Murray Howe said.
“Properly balanced fruit beer can be the perfect, refreshing beverage on a hot summer’s day.
And although relatively uncommon in Australia, craft brewers around the world are busy experimenting with fruit in their beers in new and creative ways.”
Chart-topping music act, Grayson, will perform a free concert at noon.
With a number one hit in the USA on the New Music Weekly Country Chart for his current single, 10-9-8-7, Grayson has enjoyed international success on Indie and mainstream music charts, and currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
Complimentary beer and wine tastings will be on offer at the event, and a full lunch menu is available.
A brewery tour held at 2.15pm will give guests an insight into how Murray’s award-winning beer is made, and costs $5 per person.
A brewery bus shuttle will operate on the day.
The event is family-friendly, and the venue recently launched “Pirate Bob’s Scavenger Hunt”, an interactive mobile adventure which will take kids on an adventure around the property.
Entry to the brewery is free, but bookings are required.
