NELSON Bay Men’s Probus Club members are getting set to cruise to beautiful Port Douglas.
It’s perfect timing for the members and their partners to head north and escape to the warmth of Queensland’s tropical north.
The Port Douglas Cruise follows a luncheon cruise that the group enjoyed on the Manning River last month.
The Nelson Bay Men’s Probus Club is active and the gentlemen meet on the third Thursday of the month at Nelson Bay Bowling Club.
New members are welcome and Probus offers a great social outlet with a diverse range of activities including barbeques, dining out, and trips away.
Bob Ritchie of the Nelson Bay Men’s Probus Club told The News Of The Area that being a part of Probus gives you opportunities to get out and explore the world with friends.
“The sense of community which Probus offers is great for anyone that is retired,” he said.
“Older people can often become isolated but when you are part of an active group like Nelson Bay Men’s Probus Club you have mates around you whether we are travelling on outings or just catching up once a month for a beer and a chat,” said Mr Ritchie.
The Nelson Bay Men’s Probus Club would like to invite other men to join them in getting the most out of life.
