SISTA Code founder Melissa Histon is a woman on a mission to make a real difference to the lives of women.

Melissa founded the Sista Code in 2014 after experiencing a number of life-altering events.
Her dream was to see women empowered, happy and connected.
Melissa is the 2017 Newcastle Woman of the Year.
The Sista Code has grown into an online community of 16,000 women from around the globe: a community of women that empowers other women.
In January this year, the Sista Code established the charity Got Your Back Sista, which helps women who have escaped domestic violence to start their lives again.
Whether it’s building a house for the homeless in Nepal, interviewing inspiring women from around the globe, or creating events and campaigns to support women escaping domestic violence, Melissa knows that true change can only happen when we all stand together and boost each other.
Bev Apps of the Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Service told News Of the Area, “We are excited to have Melissa as the guest speaker for the 15th annual Pink Breakfast which will be held on 18 October.”
Bev Apps of the Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group said, “We are excited to have Melissa as the guest speaker for the 15th annual ‘In the Pink’ breakfast which will be held on 18 October.”
“One highlight of the breakfast is the huge raffle which helps raise funds to support women as they undergo Breast Cancer treatment.”
“The Sista Code is all about supporting women and that’s what the Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group does, every day,” she said.
