
RECENTLY Medowie was a sea of pink on for the annual Pink October Community Fundraiser Fun Day.

Local business were behind the the event, including Century 21, Imugi TaeKwondo, Thermazing by Amy and Woolworths.
The Medowie community turned out in fine force to support the cause, with every dollar raised on the day, and in the lead up, donated to the Cancer Council of Australia.
Prior to the day, tickets were sold for the Pink October Raffle, with the first prize being a Thermomix.
For a gold coin donation, attendees were able to purchase a sausage sizzle, bubble wands, fairy floss and face painting.
Kelly O’Brien from Imugi TaeKwondo told News Of The Area, “The community were loads of fun to demonstrate in frnt of. I also really enjoyed seeing them get involved and have a go on the mats.”
“These generous and outgoing ladies have ensured our community could come together for another year and raise some funds for Cancer Council Australia.”
Mayor Ryan Palmer and Deputy Mayor Chris Doohan dropped in on the event, drawing the raffle and stopping to chat with residents.
