Great Lakes Council will again be a fundraiser for the Cancer Council and join the enormous national support for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

This year’s event will be held at the Council Administration Building, Breese Parade, Forster on Wednesday 27 May from 10.00am.

“Come along to the Council office with your family and friends, and for a gold coin donation join in the morning tea.  Raffle tickets can be purchased on the morning and all prizes will be drawn by 11.00am.”

“We would love to see as many people as possible come along and support this great initiative and have a cuppa and a chat as well,” said Mayor Cr Jan McWilliams.

Many local businesses have been approached to donate goods for raffles, or food for the morning tea and as usual the generosity of our local community has been amazing.

Sadly, an estimated 110,000 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in Australia this year.

However, with your help we can unite in the fight against cancer.

No matter how much is raised, every single dollar can help the Cancer Council invest in vital research and in support for those affected by cancer.

All money raised will be donated to the Cancer Council for their vital research.
