One solicitor, one plumber, one travel agent and one electrician is allowed to join and each one is networked amongst each other with numerous referrals given by each member of the group to each other.

Training is also given on a regular basis to further equip each member to reach the full potential of their business..

The group began five years ago with only three members and now has approximately 28 members.

Over the past 12 months BNI Horizon members have passed more than $400,000 in closed business as a combined group.

At last Tuesday’s breakfast meeting at Horizons Golf Club, the room was full of adrenalin as the group came together to share goals, referrals and some wonderful stories and jokes in order to motivate and stimulate each other’s minds and hearts for the busy day ahead in their individual businesses.

Some of the businesses include Craig Catlow ICT, Geoff Clark Photographer, Greg Gibbons Office Stationery, Katrina Ridley Bowen Therapy, Anita Marshall Mortgage Broker, Karen Harris Bookkeeper, Gerry Swan Motor Vehicle Sales and Troy Powell Electrician.

“BNI is a great organisation, where we all get to encourage each other in business and build long term relationship building, referring good people to others in our community,” Craig Catlow, President of BNI Horizon, told Bay News Of The Area.

“When I refer someone to you it’s my reputation, so I only want to refer the best of the best and that’s what I have found here at BNI Horizons,” Mr Catlow said.

Visitors are welcome and BNI Horizons are constantly looking to grow their “membactive” business referral and networking groups.

Other branches include Maitland, Cessnock, Rutherford, Newcastle, Nelson Bay, Central Coast, Campbelltown, Liverpool and Bankstown.
