In the past the Club has been involved in youth, community and family activities that have assisted those in need.

These activities include, but have not been limited to Youth Exchange, the Youth of the Year Public Speaking Competition, the Peace Poster Competition, and Camp Elim – not to mention donations to youth athletes and local schools.

Bowraville Lions supports Back to Bowra, the Rust Iron Rally and the World Rally Cars.

Lions are always there in times of disasters, and Bowraville Lions’ most recently offered support during the last series of fires and floods that affected many people in the area.

During the aftermath of those disasters the Bowraville Lions Club utilised funding to provide water tanks, water, fencing and essential necessities to many properties over a six-to-twelve-month period.

Many of the Bowraville community will know the Club due to its weekly raffles held at the Bowra Hotel.

The Club has been and will continue to be involved in many fundraising activities to support the local community.

Any money raised from the public is immediately invested back into the community.

The lack of a Lions Club in Bowraville would be immediately felt.

This is a chance for locals to put something back into the community though becoming a valued member of the Bowraville Lions Club.

The Club is conducting an Information Night for potential members on Wednesday 21 September at 6:00 pm in the Bowra Hotel, 33 High Street, Bowraville.

Please come along and support the Club.

For catering purposes please RSVP to Greg Lamberth on 6564 7539 or Dave Willingham on 0408 745 551.
