Bulahdelah busy Easter 2015 weekend draws many tourists

The Easter Weekend has come and gone and this marks the busiest time for the hospitality and tourist industry in Bulahdelah.

Bulahdelah is a well-known spot to stop and grab a coffee and food before continuing a tourist drive up the Pacific Highway.

With the Bulahdelah Bypass completed near the end of 2013 only time would tell if businesses would be impacted.

Myall Coast News spoke to Cafe On Main and it was reported that they were very busy on the Easter Weekend.

“It was mainly tourists on the public holidays but we are supported by many locals as well,” said an employee.

It has been noted that Cafe On Main has seen a steady flow of customers,  not a decline.

Wade Park was visited by many tourists on the weekend with the caravan parking sections being used.

The playground and public toilets were also facilities that were used and helped prompt visitors to stop there.

The Bulahdelah Lions Park and Boat Ramp has had a constant flow of occupants that shop in town and use the facilities like the covered picnic tables and public toilets provided.

The website www.caravancaravan.com.au/region/mid-north-coast-of-nsw/free-camping shows that there are positive comments about the town of Bulahdelah due to these provisions.

Bulahdelah may not have the road workers contributing to its economy anymore but the influx of tourists on the public holiday weekends have continued to come.
