Bulahdelah Chamber leads the charge in making a great area even better

Bulahdelah Chamber celebrates a great year.

A STELLAR year has ended for the Bulahdelah Chamber of Commerce and Tourism with a dinner to thank the various organisations and businesses that support its ongoing initiatives.

The Chamber has been consistently ranked in the top ten percent of business chambers in the Hunter Region for many years and a runner up at the State Business Awards, meeting challenges that larger areas would be envious of.

The Chamber has also been an active member of the MidCoast Business Chamber, looking at improvements in our local government areas.

Bulahdelah Chamber of Commerce and Tourism has many diverse interests.

In addition to being a representative organisation for businesses and tourism, the Chamber runs one of the few surviving Rural Transaction Centres in Australia, the local library and the Visitor Information Centre as well in general promotions for the town and many other interests.

Vice President of the Chamber, Kevin Carter told Myall Coast News Of The Area, “It is all about building up our town and making it a place that people want to visit.

“We believe that our town and the Myall Coast area is one of the best venues on the planet and we actively promote this and given that visitation has improved since the Covid lockdowns.

“It’s full steam ahead,” said Mr Carter.

With plans in place for a third studio for Myall Coast Radio in Bulahdelah, various improvements to the Bulahdelah Rural Transaction Centre as well as improvements around town, it looks like a great 2023 ahead.

This year the Chamber has run events in Small Business Month, Bigger Backyard and social media productions as well as many other events.

Membership is key in promoting our area and interests and the Chamber would encourage all to join in its vision to make Bulahdelah the best place there is as well as advancing the great opportunities in our area.
