A GROUP of Year 8 students volunteered to remove litter from the school grounds on Friday, 3 March, in support of the annual Clean Up Australia campaign.

Armed with garbage bins and gloves on their hands, the enthusiastic students were divided into small groups and allocated a section of the school to clean.
Although on first appearance the grounds looked very tidy, the students were amazed at how much litter they were able to find hidden in bushes and other places around the school.
The bins were quickly filled with papers, drink containers, food wrappings and an old discarded ball.
The Year 8 students involved in the clean-up displayed excellent citizenship and should be proud of their efforts.
