MEDOWIE Community Spring Fair had the town talking last weekend, with an event that blew attendees out of the park.

The day was a wonderful success with an unprecedented turn out from families.

There was quite literally something for everyone, with all members of the community catered for throughout the day.

All day ride passes were available, with a large selection of rides from jumping castles and climbing walls to mega slides and laser tag to choose from, just to name a few.

The hall housed a market of over 50 local makers, creators, artisans and small businesses, showcasing their upmarket and boutique wares.

A petting zoo was on hand for anyone needing their cute and cuddly fix, while students from local schools and dance groups impressed the crowds on the nearby stage with their singing, dancing and performance skills.

A box maze of nearly 180 boxes was created by school parents for children to navigate, and each stage at the school put together stalls of created wares like potted succulents to sell.

Students artwork was on display in an art show and the wonderful ladies at Medowie Lions Club were on hand to encourage people to enter their upcoming art and craft show in October.

Face painting and a fun photo booth were popular with kids and families, as was the lego building competition in the hall.

An online auction run through the week wound up during the fair, with thousands raised from a wonderful selection of prizes donated by our generous community.

Principal of Medowie Christian School, Mr Simon Herd, told News Of The Area that they were so happy with the success of the event, and the efforts to bring the community together in this wonderful collaborative event.

“It was so important to us that today reflect our core values at the school, as we strived to enrich the community and bring everyone together to put together something bigger than themselves and individual groups.”

“We had a goal today of working together to build the fabric of the the learning community of Medowie, bringing together schools and groups all over our town to show the value of quality education across all sites available to our young people.”

“Today exceeded our expectations, and we are blown away by how well Medowie has embraced this event,” he said.
