Four people arrested after street fight in Medowie

Four people have been arrested following a fight involving two families in Medowie yesterday.

Police from Port Stephens Local Area Command were called to the home in Coachwood Drive about 4.40pm (Sunday 28 September 2014), responding to reports people were fighting in the street.

When police arrived two carloads of people had already left the scene.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics were called and treated a 16-year-old boy for minor injuries.

Following inquiries, police arrested four people at a home in Maple Close, Medowie, about two hours later.

Two men, aged 18 and 40, and two girls, both aged 16, were taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station.

The men and one girl have been charged with one count of affray; they’ve been granted strict conditional bail to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday 27 October 2014.

The second teenage girl will be issued with a caution under the Young Offenders Act.
