The Tea Gardens Hotel will be covered in shamrocks and fifty shades of green for the day, and they are even going to look after your little leprechauns as well.

The night before, the Tea Gardens Hotel will be hosting a Kids Disco from 5.30pm to 8pm with free finger food available.

Then, on St Patrick’s Day morning, face painting will be available from 11.30am through to 1.30pm.

Oh Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes will be calling from 2pm with a bagpipes performance followed by the exceptional Phil McKnight playing a combination of rock and roll, blues and country songs that will no doubt have an added Celtic theme for the day, which will help those glasses of Guinness go down that little bit easier.

The fun won’t be ending there though.

From 7pm, the talented Kevin O’Hara will hold centre stage and bring St Patrick’s Day to a delightfully harmonious end for another year.

For those of you who reside in the Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest area, the Tea Gardens Hotel courtesy bus will be running as always.

However, if you reside outside the immediate area but wish to enjoy a wonderful St Patrick’s Day at the Tea Gardens Hotel, the Tea Gardens Hotel/Motel offer overnight accommodation from single rooms to those equipped for a family to stay.

It is quite incredible that a day that celebrates the man who scared away all of the snakes in Ireland has become the day that unites all Irish, both through birthright and heritage alike, and even a few who just want to pretend that they are.

Just for one day, may the Irish hills caress you, may her lakes and rivers bless you, may the luck of the Irish enfold you, may the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

Happy St Patrick’s Day.
