THE members of Tomaree Probus Club have held their annual changeover lunch and are all set to get into a busy calendar of events for 2018.

Eighty six Tomaree Probus members and partners enjoyed the annual changeover luncheon at the Nelson Bay Bowling Club.

Retiring president, Wayne Dunn introduced the incoming president Mike Mobbs and all new executive and activity organisers.

The new office bearers and committee elected include Mike Mobbs President, Bob Huggett Vice President and Secretary, Wayne Dunn immediate past president, and Don Jones editor, along with Roy Leahy, Grahame Tricker, John Sully, Fred Pulis, Terry Beaumont, Don Bourquin, Kevin Sharman, John Bell, David Diemar, Jim Mackney, Len Graff, Graham Moore, Sandy Kerr and Richard Logan.

The team are ready for some great fun activities to suit all budgets.

They offer a regular computer group session for only $2, and BBQ’s from $7.50.

Tomaree Probus Club are even planning a trip to Norfolk Island.

On a more modest level to the Norfolk Island trip, the club has snooker, walks, croquet, bike rides, caravan trips and wine appreciation, all on the upcoming program.

Mike Mobbs President of the Tomaree Probus Club told News Of The Area, “Mike Mobbs told News Of The Area, “There are a lot more activities in our club which you are more than welcome to enquire about by calling our Publicity Officer, Fred Pulis on 0422 251 666.

“You can also come along as a guest of one of our members. We meet on the first Tuesday of every month at the Nelson Bay Bowling Club between 9.00.am and 12.00.pm,” he said.

The next Tomaree Probus Club Meeting will be held on 3 April at 9.30am at Nelson Bay Bowling Club.
