He can play it straight, crooning Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble or All Night Long by Lionel Richie.

But just when you think you have him pegged, Godbold will mix things up, tweaking lyrics for comic effect, introducing a rogue guest voice into a song, or highlighting musical anomalies.

What starts out as a version of Sweet Home Alabama (Lynyrd Skynyrd) morphs into All Summer Long (Kid Rock) then Werewolves of London (Warren Zevon).

If he feels a reggae-like riff in a song, Godbold will channel the voice of Shaggy and play with that.

And cover versions of hits by female artists hold no fears for Godbold. His rendition of Man! I Feel Like A Woman (Shania Twain) is evidence of that. Hats, glasses and props add to the fun.
