Four Tea Gardens Hawks Nest crews ventured to Umina beach and competed in an Open Male crew, a Masters Women’s Crew and two Masters Men’s Crew races.

The Club experienced its best ever overall result, with all crews rowing through three qualifying races and making the finals in all divisions.

Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Club member Peter Rogers said, “This is the first time the club has achieved all crews making the final at a Carnival, a tribute to the work and skill improvements all members have achieved.”

Peter told News Of The Area, “All crews rowed consistently all day against far more experienced opposition and in testing windy conditions.”

To see the crews in action against clubs from the Central Coast to Coffs Harbour, head to Bennetts Beach on the weekend of 10 and 11 December when Tea Gardens Hawks Nest SLSC hosts Round Three of the Street’s Series.
