A good turnout of 10 teams played over two successive Fridays in June. This competition is different from many bridge competitions as it is played in teams of four not just two partners and everyone plays everyone else using the same boards of cards. The highest ranked players then progress to the next round playing against other top teams in the Hunter region before, hopefully, going on to the Grand Final – a 4 day event which will be held in Tweed Heads in November.

The result was excitingly close with two teams (pictured) finishing at the top of the rankings with only one point between them. Congratulations to the top players :-
