
AT the twenty fourth AGM of the Hawks Nest Bridge Club held on Friday, 23 August, Club members joined in celebrating a milestone of their oldest member, Pauline Cole, who turned 99 and is still enjoying playing Bridge.

Club member, Bea Treharne, especially baked a lemon panna cotta cake and she knew it was one of Pauline’s favourites.
Outgoing President, Glenn Conroy, said, “Pauline has been an inspiration to us all.”
Hawks Nest Bridge Club now boasts 105 members who are loving playing Bridge in the newly built clubhouse in Yamba Street, Hawks Nest.
Incoming President, Leslie Falla, told News Of The Area, “We hope to be going strong after 99 years, just like Pauline.
“We run lessons for newcomers at the start of every year and these lessons have been very successful, “ said Leslie.
