Mrs Richards said many organisations have come together in support of the event with the golf club donating the use of their function room, Alyssa Weaver from Sitting Pretty assisting with décor items and Marianne Linke and her band Rusty Springs giving their time to entertain.

“We are hoping the community will support our event to raise funds for Save our Sons Duchenne Australia, a charity that helps families and funds research into finding a cure,” Mrs Richards said.

“The more tickets that are sold, the more money in turn will be raised to help all families dealing with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in their lives.”

Ticket for the Emerald Ball cost $120 each and include a three course meal, beer, wine and soft drinks.

Only a limitied number of tickets will be available and can now be purchased from Hawks Nest Golf Club or online at emeraldball.wixsite.com/emeraldballduchenne
