The evening was a very memorable night for all, with the sumptuous dinner, live music and great company all going late into the evening. The twilight golf, nine holes every Thursday afternoon during daylight savings was a real thrill for all club members all season. The champion golfer for 2016 / 2017 season was Pat Henry, winning with a very close margin of three points from Glenn Burgess, the runner-up champion. Another very close competition, the best ten games, proved you only need one point to win. Jed Malone won the best ten games, one point ahead from Frank Murphy. The most improved golfer for 2016 / 2017 season was Cory Bates, the porn trophy award went to Ian Ingram. The social darts division proved consistent weekly results will prove a true darts club champion. Trevor Peirson was the present season’s club champion. The club champion runner up and the highest peg out was Darren Rapley. The most improved dart player from the men’s division was Kumar John Harvey. Three dart players scored the perfect score of 180 points from a possible 180 points. They were Lyn Peirson, Trevor Peirson and Paul Bennett. The ladies dart players division champion for 2016/2017 was Lyn Peirson. Marion Smith was the current season’s ladies runner up champion. The most improved ladies dart division player was Jenna Kirwan. The angling champion for 2016/2017 from all combined divisions and the men’s division winner was Robert Bartlett. The men’s division runner-up angling champion was Andrew Sharp. The ladies angling champion for the current season was Gail Bartlett, with Jessica Sharp being the ladies angling runner up champion. The junior angling section champion was Poppy Rapley and Saxon Rapley was the junior runner up angling champion. Present members and guests who would loved to be involved with the new 2017/2018 season come along 18 June 2017, 10 am, to the Annual General Meeting and join.
