The popular New FM 105.3 breakfast radio program want to reward Newcastle’s hardest working primary school teacher and give them some much deserved recognition.

Miss Robinson told Myall Coast News, “Some local parents of my twenty kindergarten student’s kindly nominated me into the radio competition to show their appreciation. I think everyone at the school does a wonderful job but it is very nice of the parents to think of me and be recognized for all our hard work.”

“I have been teaching in Karuah for a number of years off and on, this year we have had a few special needs children and some that have had trouble with the transitioning, I think the parents have just appreciated how we have handled the transition as well as the communication and support we have given,” Miss Robinson said.

After completing studies at the University of Newcastle, Miss Robinson has had numerous primary teaching roles over
the past six years, teaching every grade from remote schools in the Northern Territory to a large school in Sydney.

“I always come back to Karuah as I love the community. Karuah Public is a wonderful school and I think it’s a wonderful reflection on public education in New South Wales. I really appreciate the support and would like to thank all the parents for nominating me,” Miss Robinson added.

The winning teacher will score a gold coloured Apple MAC BOOK, whilst each student in that class will win an Apple iPad
mini thanks to Harvey Norman Computer’s.
