The beautiful spring market will be ablaze with colour, showcasing handmade masks of all kinds, along with a diverse selection of stalls, delicious food and coffee and music.

Ms Selbie, the market manager, told News of The Area that organisers had learnt a lot from the remarkably busy July market, so the September spring market has extra measures in place to encourage better distancing, less congestion and a smoother flow.

“We love to support our community and marketeers, and understand the need to socialise, energise, to get out under the sunshine and breathe the fresh air,” Ms Selbie added.

Everyone is welcome to go along and be involved in the mask parade.

Entrants are advised to make their masks creative and fun, crazy, colourful and virus safe, with three cash prizes on offer.

Register before 11am at the Bellingen market hub on market morning to enter and join the mask parade on the footy oval from 12pm, where the winners will be announced.

Folk-rock singer-songwriter Cheynne Murphy will also be playing on the main stage from 10am.

The Bellingen High School P&C will be welcoming all visitors and raising money for the local youth.

“Our monthly collaboration and celebration are important to us, so now we are focusing on moving positively and safely forward in this crazy corona environment,” Ms Selbie said.
