Karuah and Tea Gardens cricket club set teams

HOWZAT! If you’re a cricketer of any standard, now is the time to ‘don the whites’ and get involved in cricket in your local area.

The Sharks (Karuah and Tea Gardens District) will field teams in two local district comps as well as Kanga Cricket for beginners at Karuah.

Senior teams (13 years and older) compete in the Dungog District whilst juniors (under 10’s to under16’s) play in the Maitland District Competition.

Registration days for the Sharks will be held on Saturday 5 and 12 September from 9.00am at both Tea Gardens Memorial Park and Karuah Cricket Ground.

Tuesday evenings at the Tea Gardens Hotel see a fundraising One Hundred Club whilst Wednesday evenings at the Karuah RSL Meat Raffles are held to further assist in the funds department.

There will be coaching courses held over the coming weeks to help any first time coaches.

All junior teams are trained by qualified coaches and all junior teams have full equipment on hand for players to use.
