ON Saturday the Roos were at home against the Raymond Terrace Magpies.

Game day sponsors were The Karuah Liquor Shop and Tony King Auto Repairs.

The Maggies kicked off and were quickly in for two tries 10/0.

The Roos runners were Justin Anderson, Luke Perry, Zac Cobb, Dylan Foley, Tim Higginbottom, Harley Ridgeway, Aden Callaghan, Jack Croese, Jordan Cobb, Tim Johnson, Matt O’Connor, Michael Gough and Dwayne Fleming.

It wasn’t long before the Roos were on the board and with a man in the sinbin.

The try was scored by Captain Sam Croese 10/4. Roos Adam Crampton was over in the corner and with Sam converting to equal the score at 10 all.

Big hitters were Tim Higginbottom, Jordan Cobb, Dwayne Fleming, Zac Cobb, Matt O’Connor, Sam Croese, Luke Perry, Dylan Foley, Justin Anderson, Harley Ridgeway, Aden Callaghan and Jack Croese.

With Dylan and Luke on a try saving tackle, Dylan had a head clash with the Maggies’ player which ended his game before the second half seeing him off to Bulahdelah hospital for eigh stitches to a deep split over his eye.

Roos Jack Croese was next to score and Sam converted taking the score to 16/10 Roos way at the half time hooter.

The Maggies came out fast in the second half and were held up over the line by the Roos strong defence.

Dwayne Fleming was over for the Roos and Sam converted to take the score to 22/10.

Good metres were made by Matt O’Connor, Tim Higginbottom, Luke Perry, Jack Croese, Jordan Cobb, Adam Crampton, Aden Callaghan, Justin Anderson and Jake Blanch.

Matt O’Connor was in for the Roos and Sam converted making it 28/10 Roos way.

The Terrace was the next to score two more tries 28/22 they were on the come back.

Then Luke Perry was over for the Roos and once again Sam converted 34/22.

Big hits by Adam Crampton, Dwayne Fleming, Matt O’Connor, Sam Croese, Luke Perry, Harley Ridgeway, Zac and Jordan Cobb, Nick Borham, Tim Johnson, Tim Higginbottom, Ben Feeney and Michael Gough.

Maggies were in again 34/26 Roos way.

Then Jordan Cobb scored for the Roos 38/26.

But the Maggies were not finished. They scored on the bell to take the final score to Karuah 38 Raymond Terrace 30.

Players player 3 points went to Jordan Cobb, 2 points was shared by Sam Croese, Tim Higginbottom and Ben Feeney.

The Coaches Award went to Dwayne Fleming and the Sponsor’s Choice was Luke Perry.

Next week the Roos travel to McKeachies Oval Aberglasslyn to take on Maitland United.
