SATURDAY saw the Karuah Roos travel to Clarence Town to take on the Cobra’s. Game Day Sponsors were Hunter Quarries and Burgess Timber & Earthmoving.

Claro kicked off and scored 3 tries with only one conversion in the first 25mins to take the score to 14/0. Then the Roos young gun Aiden Bills score and converted his try to take the score to Cobra’s 14 Roo’s 6.

The Big Hitters for the Roo’s in the first half were James Foster, Jack Fleming, Simi Asomua, Jake Langdon, Tyson Peters, Ben O’Connor, Tim Johnson, Luke Wilson, David Dodd, Dwayne Fleming, Tom Banks, Ben Feeney, Mitch Napier, Alex Munzer, Tama Riordan and Jack Croese.

Claro score again 18/6.

The Runners in the first half for the Roo’s were Simi Asomua, Aaron Benn, Mitch Napier, Adam Crampton, Alex Munzer, Jack Croese, Tama Riordan, Tyson Peters, James Foster, Aiden Bills, Luke Wilson, Ben O’Connor, David Dodd and Tom Banks.

Aiden Bills was in for his second try and also conversion with under 10 minutes to go in the first half to take the score to Cobra’s 18 Roo’s12 at half time.

The second half saw the Cobra’s score in the first few minutes with a conversion 24/12. 5 minutes later another young gun Jack Fleming was over for the Roo’s to take the score to Claro 24 Karuah 16.

The Hitmen in the second half were Tyson Peters, Mitch Napier, Ben Feeney, Simi Asomua, Jack Croese, Jack Fleming, Tim Johnson, Ben O’Connor, Aiden Bills, Tom Banks, James Foster, Tama Riordan, Luke Wilson, Aaron Benn and Jake Langdon.

About half way through the second half it was a little tit for tat with Claro scoring 28/16, then the Roo’s Simi Asomau and Aiden Bills converting 28/22, then Claro’s Ben Bradley scoring and the try was converted to take the score to 34/22.

The Runners in the second half for the Roo’s were Adam Crampton, Jake Langdon, Aaron Benn, Tama Riordan, Simi Asomua, James Foster, Mitch Napier, Jack Fleming, Tim Johnson, Aiden Bills, Luke Wilson, Dwayne Fleming and Ben O’Connor.

With just over 6minutes to go Claro put on to try’s with both being converted to take the full-time score to Clarence Town 46 Karuah 22.

Players Player 3 points went to new dad Mitch Napier 2 points to Aiden Bills and 1 point to James Foster. Coaches Award went to Ben Feeney with the Sponsors Choice being Aiden Bills.
