Julia Redlich told News Of The Area, “Long may it last!”

At a recent meeting the club was pleased to be able to welcome two new members: Ilona and Ross Ferrier.

“Both had frequently attended past events so when President Jenny Wright handed over the membership badges and folder to them, there was much applause.”

Guest speaker Emma Holgate, the head Librarian at Tomaree Library spoke about ‘What your library can do for you’.

“Emma’s talk was entertaining and informative.”

The library is a great meeting place not only for favourite books, but many other services are on offer.

“They include computer technology and movie afternoons, author talks and games groups, children’s activities and device charging stations – and so much more!

“Thanks to Emma for opening many more doors for our members,” she said.

The Fingal Bay Probus Club meets at 9.30am on the second Monday of each month at the Fingal Bay Sports and Recreation Club, 100 Rocky Point Road, Fingal Bay.

New members and visitors are welcome to learn about the club and its activities that include wine and dine evenings, walking for pleasure, comfortably casual coffee mornings, wine appreciation time and a variety of guest speakers.
