Filming for the program saw Australia’s leading property experts Andrew Winter, Charlie Albone and Shaynna Blaze visit Stroud to makeover the 30 year-old brick and tile home.

In desperate need of transformation, “Selling Houses Australia” described the property as, “a sore thumb on an otherwise picturesque and historic country town.”

Managing director of R and R Property Denise Haynes, said feedback from buyers prior to the makeover was that the home had potential, but needed an update.

“At R and R Property we are always pushing the point of presentation is everything,” she said.

“Some things you can do that make a huge difference are quite simple and inexpensive.”

During the makeover, Shaynna made simple changes to the interior of the house to inject character, replacing the old-fashioned feeling.

Charlie transformed the exterior replacing the deck and painting the metal and timber details on the front.

Spending a total of $30,000, the “Selling Houses Australia” team did an amazing job improving street appeal and creating a modern interior.

The property sold immediately after the makeover, achieving a higher price than the owners were expecting.

Denise Haynes said the makeover was just what the property needed, “providing a fresh and clean feel as well as a sophistication it previously lacked.”

“First impressions are everything,” she said.

“This fastest sale in the history of the program certainly proves that.”

Proud to showcase the area as part of the program, Denise said the team at R & R Property were pleased with the outcome.

“We are immensely proud to have achieved an amazing result for our vendors and purchaser,” she said.

“The makeover, along with our extensive marketing and hard work attracted our buyer within two days.”

R & R Property are happy to assist anyone with tips and advice on presenting their home for sale.
