Man, 53, died in car crash at Pindimar

Investigations are occurring after a 53-year-old man has died in a single vehicle car accident at Pindimar on ANZAC day.

Inspector Janson from Raymond Terrace Police Station told Myall Coast News Of The Area, on Tuesday afternoon, that Police are still investigating what actually happened to cause the man to come off the road.

“Next of kin still needs to be notified,” he said.

“The vehicle has left the road in what can only be described as a tragic accident,” Inspector Janson said.

About 8pm on Monday 25 April, the man who has been identified by Police as ‘local to the area’, was driving his vehicle south on Pindimar Road, Pindimar.

His car has veered off the road and travelled down an embankment where it has come to a halt.

As a result the man has suffered fatal injuries from the accident and died at the scene.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Pindimar, near Port Stephens yesterday.

About 8pm (Monday 25 April 2016), a 53-year-old man was driving his vehicle south on Pindimar Road, Pindimar, when his vehicle left the road and travelled down an embankment.

The driver, who is local to the area, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established at the crash site while investigations continue and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
