A man will appear in court today charged with a number of break-and-enter offences in the Taree area.

The alleged break-ins took place at homes and businesses between June 2009 and February 2014.

Following investigations by police from Manning/Great Lakes Local Area Command, an 18-year-old man was arrested at a home in Purfleet about 6.15pm yesterday (Friday 5 September 2014).

He was taken to Taree Police Station and charged with steal property in dwelling/house; break and enter house (two counts); and aggravated break and enter serious indictable offence – in company.

The man, who was a juvenile at the time of the incidents, was refused bail to appear in Taree Children’s Court today (Saturday 6 September 2014).
