The winner was drawn at 11am from accumulated entries in a sealed fishing bucket and transferred to a large broccoli box for the draw.

The event was streamed live on their Facebook page and drawn by a staff member.

Deb Moroney was the lucky winner, with her purchase on 15 October 2016.

She was not present at the time the competition was drawn, however, a few hopeful customers were.

Deb will be given the opportunity to either accept the boat worth $10,000 or receive $6,000 cash.

John McCauley, co-owner at the shop, told News of the Area: “The whole draw was about giving back to our lucky, loyal customers who are with us all year round.”

“The family business has been here for 48 years and this is one of the biggest promotions to date,” Mr McCauley said.

The business would also like to thank Bay Boat Sales in Salamander Bay for providing the tinnie that has been featured inside the shop for months.

“The two most important aspects of the draw were our loyal members and super doopa staff,” John said.

Peter Boshev, the shops other co-owner, added: “We’re hoping this may become an annual event for those who always support us.”
