They are held at Ferodale Sports Complex, Ferodale Road, Medowie.

Do not come expecting the usual carols by candlelight, the carols is more extravaganza than Away In The Manger.

Named the Medowie Christmas Carnival, attendees can expect to see market stalls, a variety of international foods, show-style rides, show bags, and of course the much-anticipated Santa arrival.

Schools and other community groups will entertain the crowd with singing and dancing performances.

Local celebrity, Miss Kim will be hosting the carols part of the Carnival.

Headlining will be Megan and Josh and the Studio Band.

Conference organising committee member, Ms Katrina Becker told News Of The Area, “Medowie Christmas Carnival’s foundation has been built on the strength of community engagement and the dedication of volunteers who have pooled their experience and professional skills to deliver an event worthy of our audience.”

“A not-for-profit event on this scale helps build trust and community outreach; connects people and resources, develops new leaders and creates opportunities for cooperative learning experiences.”

“We encourage families and their friends to bring a picnic blanket, relax and enjoy live entertainment and immerse themselves in the festive community spirit as we celebrate the countdown to Christmas.”

Local business sponsorship of this event and the tireless work of the volunteers, started originally by the Williamtown Rotary Club, ensures the Medowie Christmas Carnival is a success each year.
