The Lions ladies opened the event officially on friday night with a special night of champagne and delicacies created by the members, treating their special guests and invitees.

The weekend saw attendees participate in ‘make and take’ workshops, and the children enjoyed the working, scale-model steam trains and the face painter.

Art and Craft Show Coordinator Helen Riemann told News Of The Area, “We’ve had a wonderful weekend, and are all really pleased with the number of entrants and the quality of their work.”

“It was a very successful show with many sales.”

“We would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters for their contributions to this year’s show,” she said.

The winner of the The Bull ‘n’ Bush People’s Choice Award was Michele Winn, a first time entrant in the Lions Art and Craft Show.

Laura Breed won the Medowie Tyre and Auto Photographic Award.

The Senior and Junior young people’s art awards were won by Holly Kennedy and Jessica Peck, respectively.

The Raffles were won by Roy Dobbie, Marina Schmale and Sally Walker.
