YET another new contender for Port Stephens Council is Matt Bailey.

Representing the Liberal Party in the Local Government Election, Matt is partner to existing Councillor Jaimie Abbott.

Matt is a father of two boys and originally hails from Tamworth.

He is a qualified financial planner and has a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle where he majored in Human Resources and Management.

He also has a Diploma in Financial Planning.

Matt is currently studying a Master of Teaching (Primary School) at the University of Newcastle.

Matt is putting up his hand to push for improved parks, playgrounds, and sporting facilities in East Ward.

Matt Bailey told News Of The Area, “I’m particularly focused on supporting small businesses and am passionate about the environment.

“I want to ensure Port Stephens Council has a voice at the table to help protect our pristine waterways and natural habitats,” he said.
