WINTER warmth in the colourful shape of beautifully handcrafted wraps from MidCoast Council Forster Library’s ‘Knit &Knatter’ group is currently on display at the Forster Library.

“Many locals dedicate hours of knitting in support of this worthwhile cause and we hope the vibrant wraps will inspire regular Library customers to become involved in some way with the ‘Wraps with Love’ project,” said the Library’s Outreach Services Officer, Meredith Campbell.

Wraps with Love helps prevent millions of people worldwide from suffering during cold weather.  Over the past 23 years, Wraps with Love have sent more than 400,000 wraps to people in 75 different countries.

Knit and Knatter meet in the library on the last Friday of each month from 10am until 12pm and new members are welcome to come along – just bring wool and needles!

Enjoy a convivial morning tea and meet the regular crew.  If this isn’t your thing, then there are many other ways to get involved – alternatively you might like to knit at home.  The Library can provide you with the simple pattern for squares and all donations are gratefully received at any of the Library Service points.
