Community projects in the Manning, Great Lakes and Gloucester areas only have until the end of today (Thursday 30 June) to make application to share in a $66,000 funding pool, thanks to MidCoast Water’s annual sponsorship program.

The annual program aims to assist local groups and organisations by providing them with the opportunity to share in the funding pool for the 2016-17 financial year. Applications close at 5pm Thursday June 30.

To qualify for funding, applicants must demonstrate their community-based project or event contributes to the social wellbeing of the broader community.

General Manager Ken Gouldthorp encourages groups across the MidCoast Water service area to consider making an application.

“MidCoast Water takes pride in supporting our local community in their endeavours, and our sponsorship program is one way in which we can do this,” Mr Gouldthorp said.

In the past sponsorship has been allocated to a range of organisations for a variety of purposes such as events, festivals, upgrades of community facilities, children’s services and more.

Applications for sponsorship are now open. Application forms can be downloaded from www.midcoastwater.com.au/sponsorship or obtained by contacting MidCoast Water on 1300 133 455.
