The Myall Community Art and Crafts Centre is holding its 25th Anniversary Art and Craft Show over three days, from Friday 11 January through to Sunday 13 January.

“There will be two large rooms dedicated to a wide variety of art works of many different mediums, oils, watercolour, acrylic, pencil, charcoal and mixed media works,” Janette Coppock told News Of The Area.

“A third room will display a huge array of craft items from pottery, leather work, wood turning, hand spun and woven garments, hand sewn and knitted children’s clothing and soft toys and a wonderful selection of hand and machined quilts.”

It all began a quarter of a century ago, when a small group of local artists gathered in an old army hut on the Hawks Nest Golf Course.

What a long way they’ve come, with close to two hundred members and a purpose built craft centre on Myall Street in Tea Gardens.

It takes months of organisation and days of hard yakka to put the show together.

So if you’re looking to be inspired, maybe join the centre or find a special something to buy, head on down to the Myall Street Centre, just near the Singing Bridge in Tea Gardens.
