“Being in the older age group, Nicolas competed in seven events, 100m, 100m hurdles, 800m, discus, javelin, high jump and long jump and ended the weekend placing 18th out of 25 registered athletes.”

Katherine added, “All three athletes improved personal bests in multiple events, had fun and represented their club with honour and a ‘never-give-up’ attitude.”

“The MCLAC Committee is so proud and commends all athletes on the strong end to their season’s efforts.”

The Committee would like to again express its gratitude to sponsors Tea Gardens Country Club, Myall Pharmacy, Brighter Beginnings Early Childhood Centre, Hawks Nest Newsagency, Tile Rescue, Kelly’s Famous Bakehouse and our suppliers for supporting our centre and athletes.

And just an update on Medowie Christian School’s Keira McGregor; The 12 year old recently competed in the Little Athletics State Championships in Sydney and came in third in the 100 metres sprint.

Remarkably there was less than half a second between the first place getter and Keira in third.
