Myall Masters Swimmers result in Tasmania

Myall Masters Swimming was represented by four swimmers at the 40th Masters Swimming Australia National Championships held in Hobart 11-12 April.

Myall was represented by Chris Lock (70-74 yrs), Chris Mobbs (65-69 yrs), Leon Bobako (65-69 yrs) and Peter King (80-84 yrs).

Myall Masters club achieved an astounding 17th position out of 110 clubs represented.

The club was even 2nd position with clubs of four or less competitors.

The team scored a National Record, 5 individual gold medals, 6 silver and 7 bronze medals.

An amazing 30 personal best times between the four swimmers was recorded.

Of note Leon Bobako broke the National record in 50m Breaststroke, Chris Lock won the 50m Backstroke and Peter Kings results in 80-84 age group are to be greatly admired.

The atmosphere at this 40th National Championship, plus the camaraderie of the Myall Masters team, made this a very memorable and rewarding experience for the team.
