The recently announced grants totalling $447,634 for three projects under the Public Reserves Management Fund Program (PRMFP) will allow Council and community groups to undertake much needed improvements and maintenance.

“Council looks forward to working with community groups to assist in the delivery of these projects,” said Manager of Parks and Recreation, Mr Andrew Staniland.

Council will receive $377,190 towards the cost of upgrading power and water supplies at the Nabiac Showground.

The total project is estimated to cost $398,860.

The Nabiac and District Swimming Pool Committee will receive $20,444 to surface the toddler wet play area at the swimming pool complex.

The Bulahdelah Showground Committee will receive $50,000 to help replace termite damaged light poles and obsolete lighting at Bulahdelah Showground.

The Bulahdelah Showground Committee will be contributing a further $30,000 towards labour and materials to complete the job.
