THE 2021 State Pennants season started for the Nelson Bay Croquet Club on Sunday 28 March with Team Birubi hosting EDSACC White in a Division 3 match at Tomaree Sports Complex.

Rae Black, Sherry Gordon, Kay Smith and Rae Uptin did the Club proud with a close fought 2-1 win.

All 3 matches went to 3 games and 2 were decided on the 13th hoop.

Rae Black / Kay Smith 6-7 / 7-5 / 7-6

Nelson Bay is fielding two teams in Division 2 and two teams in Division 3.

The State Pennants commences with regional qualifying competition with Nelson Bay playing in the Hunter region.

The top teams from the regional qualifiers travel to Croquet NSW headquarters at Tempe for the finals later in the year.
