As the end of the year now approaches, we can take a moment to reflect on the triumphs, the challenges, the fun and the sadness we have ensured over the last 365 days.
New Year and it’s eve, is celebrated in many way by people, but it’s often a time when resolutions are made for the start of a fresh year.

Take some time to reflect, take some time to think and take some time to celebrate.
New Year’s Eve will see Nelson Bay’s CBD and foreshore in Port Stephens abuzz with live music, boutique shopping, family amusements and a spectacular fireworks display.
More than 5000 people are expected to gather at D’Albora Marina on the Nelson Bay foreshore for the free, family-friendly event, which will begin with live music from 12 noon and culminate with fireworks soaring over the bay at 9pm – enabling people of all ages to participate in the festivities.
The festivities at D’Albora Marina will begin with live music from Ben Travis from 12 noon, and from original song-writing folk trio The Fruit Trees from 6pm.
Face painting, roving entertainers, a jumping castle and live puppet shows will take place at the marina from 4pm, with the many shops at the marina offering a selection of gifts, clothes, jewellery and accessories.
Families can bring their own picnic dinner or enjoy a meal from one of the many Nelson Bay restaurants and eateries. Twilight dinner cruises and water adventure activities are also available.
The event is alcohol-free and suitable for people of all ages.
Happy New Year from the team at Bay News Of The Area.
