This project has been 12 months in the making and features 20 separate historical stops at various relics scattered amongst the lawns and gardens of the Society’s Museum in Ann Street Bulahdelah.

Each stop has a plaque detailed information about the item – ranging from a small boulder of Alunite, which was once mined from Bulahdelah Mountain, to bogie wheels and rail line from the old Mayers Point to Horses Creek logging railway of the 1920s

Society President Kevin Carter said, “I think visitors will find the new walk most informative as it allows them to access local historical information and local items of historical importance, outside the normal Museum opening hours. The walk is backed up with a great brochure complete with map.”

This project was made possible with a small grant from the Museums and Galleries NSW

Everybody is welcome to come to the official opening on Saturday 27th April at 2pm with an afternoon tea to follow.
